New Heroes Riot At Customs

By Jerimy Harrison

At the immigration section of customs, new heroes rebelled against the agents beacuse of reasons unknown.

"All I did was ask him whether he has worked in Gothom, Metropoliton, Nyc or was from the future, " said officer Alex Bossoam, "and he just gave me a nasty ice-covered fist to my stomach."

The Fight lasted for 25 minutes until Crey came in with their troopers and quickly ended the battle.

"It was our job our duty to come in and save the citizens of Paragon City," commented Countess Crey on her organisation's actions.

Even though Crey saved the day there was a catch. One of the workers Carlos O'Hara was critically injured and died while Crey employees were waiting to attack. It was only after he died that Crey came in and quelled the riot. Although just possibly a coincidence, this reporter will follow up this story with more findings after more investigation.

Villains Growing More Specialized

by Shelly Winters

Researchers of crime statistics have noticed an unusual spike in the difficulties of heroes in apprehending criminals. Apparently, villains both powered and non-powered have begun to utilize more strategy and skill in combating crime fighters. Before the Beta Project, most street gangs were comprised solely of melee combatants. Now, most gangs feature at least both ranged and melee fighters, if not entirely different characters who can disarm, distract and ultimately aid their fellow gang members in entirely non-combative ways.

In other crime groups, entirely new powers have begun to surface, giving heroes more trouble than ever in disarming opponents. Craving a street level opinion on this, I asked one of the heroes enlisted in the Beta Project to comment on his experiences. While he said he could not go on record concerning any of what he had seen or heard, he did have this to say, "I do think it's more problematic for the city, but I certainly love the greater challenge." This reporter just hopes the rest of PC's heroes are as gung ho about the situation.

Crey Industries Take Over Kalil Research Co.

by Adrian Chase

After a fast and aggressive campaign, Crey Industries has brought the Kalil Research Co., recently famous due to its discovery of a new non-pollutant engine, the Knetkon.

When asked about the issue, the new CEO of the company, Willian Landers, made this announcement, “Crey Industries know how to recognize great talents and Kalil Research is not an exception. I will be dedicating myself to continue the marvelous work that Kalil have been doing.”

Aside the statement, another thing that the new CEO did is firing all the staff working in the Knetkon project. “It’s normal to have some chances in the staff during an event like this.” The Beholder had try to find the former head physic-engineer Kreig Matterson, but he was unavailable to make some comment on the subject.

Mutant Heroes Battle Prejudice

Special report by hero Horntail

On a cold March morning many heroes turned out for the annual Mutant Rights Protest of Paragon or M.R.P.P as it has become known.

I participated with my fellow mutants to battle against the prejudice some of us receive. We may not look the same as everyone else, but we do the same job as the normal looking heroes. Mutants today have to battle prejudice, especially those with more obvious abnormal features. I’m here to report on the protest thorough the eyes of one.

In this day and age there have been reports of citizens being rescued by mutants and running away screaming or not even thanking them for battling the 8 foot tall cyborg that was about to cut their head off. I talked to a few at the protest.

"Its not my fault i've got five eyes, some people I rescue look at me and run away, jeez! You’d think they’d be happy to be rescued!" a protester called Penteye told me before going mad at some children who pointed and laughed at him - he was later arrested for public intoxication.

"Today you can’t win, there’s no place on magazines for a triple headed hero, its just wrong," a hero called Tri-ed exclaimed, the other two heads declined comment; one of them was asleep.

The fact is some mutants, like myself, are treated unfairly. I believe we are unique, not horrible ugly freaks. I joined the section for Equal Rights For Mutants with Tails or ERMT for short. "Having a tail can get in the way and cloths are a problem but there are advantages too" A flying hero called Dragella told me while holding a sign that read ‘People with tails have feelings too’.

Many of the people I talked to in the protest today had the same message: Equal rights for mutants. It’s an ongoing argument, which is still being debated and a long way from finished.

The color of your skin, whether it be black white, blue or green shouldn't’t affect anything. From personal experience I can say there are anti-mutant citizen out there. Having a tail or an extra head or two doesn't change the fact we are heroes, we do the same job, but we just look a little different. Hopefully the protest did some good today. Just remember the next time you get saved, be it a mutant or any other hero, just be thankful and give them a pat on the back... or tail as the case may be.
