Major Announcements Expected Soon

by Ashton Burrows

Updates on the current development of Paragon City are expected shortly.

Updates on the current development of Paragon City are expected shortly.

Anticipation is building as major announcements regarding the construction of Paragon City are expected to start appearing shortly. Paragon City developers are being predicted to make major announcements about the current position and future direction of the City at the Expedient Engineers Exposition, or E3 for short.

Recent times have seen a lack of information released about Paragon City's redevelopment after the Rikti Invasion and left many heroes feeling left out. Both during and following the end of E3 heroes will hopefully see some plans about what to expect to see in the City and how long before they will be allowed in.

Heroes are being cautioned not to get too over-excited about the release of this information - not everything will be released at once. It is also expected that some already "known" information will change, which may lead to dissatisfaction and even anger from the existing community.

The Beholder is looking forward to the flow of information to the community being increased and will be examining what comes to light with a critical eye. Of most importance to us is that E3 will see the end of a news blackout from official sources and will reveal what has gone on over the quiet period.

Flu Virus Altering Hero Powers

by Pere Torr

A new strain of the common cold has had a huge impact on the hero community in Paragon City. Along with the requisite sniffles and sneezes that such a virus brings with it, there have also been reports of heroes acquiring new powers or having their old powers altered after catching the bug.

Light Bringer is recovering in hospital from events stemming from catching this cold. "I was just about to give a blinding flash bolt to a Rikti soldier and take him out when suddenly, for the first time, I was flying! It was great! Never have I felt such freedom. Unfortunately I kinda haven't got the landing part down... that's why I'm here..."

A increasing number of reports have been flooding into hero groups about accidental power use and damage occurring to both people and property as a result. Some heroes are experiencing modified power ranges after catching the flu; others are finding that their regular powers have been replaced with new ones.

Scientists do not believe this flu is the work of any criminal or alien organisation, indicating that its origin appears to be terestial. Doctors are asking those infected by the flu to remain at home and to not take on missions with unpredictable powers. If you believe you have the flu, make sure you drink plenty of liquid and keep yourself rested to help speed up your recovery.

Famed Mutant Revealed to Be A.H.

by Victoria Valance

Fans were outraged and hero-watchers shocked by the revelation that the famous mutant rights campaigner Reject is not a Mutant as he claimed but is actually an Altered Human.

This revelation was dropped during a press conference held by Danielle Irons who has recently been divorced by Reject. Ms Irons revealed that Reject experimented on himself to obtain his powers and privately refers to Mutants as "not much better than Rikti".

Reject could not be reached for comment.

Hero Goes Into Retirement

by Jonathan Michael Sanderson

It's a sad day in Paragon today as one of our most beloved heroes retires. Today we say goodbye to an old friend and familiar face.

"He was like a brother to me. I could always depend on him to vent my frustrations and angst. He always listened...He...he was a true friend," said Jono upon hearing the news.

So it is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to our friend The Wall. He created a legacy that, hopefully, will be carried on for years to come.
